In his diverse 35-year career Michael has focused on Talent Management, linking executive assessment, development, and coaching to organizational strategy. Working primarily with Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies he has designed systems that align executive talent strategies with company business drivers. He has built leadership pipelines that underpin business success and unleash executive potential.
As a Leadership Coach, Michael has helped a variety of senior leaders develop their skills to enable them to meet the considerable challenges of leadership in today’s ambiguous and uncertain world. As a coach his aim is to provide a foundation for his coachees to achieve clarity about a way forward that will motivate and inspire them to achieve their goal. The establishment of trust is a fundamental ingredient of his coaching philosophy, and to maintain this, he ensures that he uses coaching skills effectively throughout his engagements; that he demonstrates integrity at all times; that he is dependable and reliable; and that he connects with his coachees in a way that establishes an atmosphere where change can take place.
He coaches and facilitates to create a foundation where meaningful change can take place. In both scenarios he gets great satisfaction in seeing leaders who, at the end of the engagement, are re-motivated, engaged and inspired to continue their leadership journey. By introducing new skills or by changing their mindset and approach to their leadership challenges Michael helps to build an environment in which they achieve greater satisfaction in their role, and increase the motivation and engagement of their teams.
