Throughout Peter’s 25-year clinical psychology practice, he has maintained interest in organizational psychology and the use of strategies to improve leadership skills and performance. His masters and doctoral programs’ Organizational Psychology departments had a strong influence on him, which stimulated his interest to continue to pursue that throughout his career. Over the past seven years, Peter has worked with clients in Development and Assessment Centers, and with this experience and his experience as a psychologist, he has naturally moved into coaching executives and managers.

Providing opportunities for clients to reflect and develop an understanding of their strengths and opportunities for development underpins his approach to coaching. Peter’s approach to coaching is firmly rooted in a behavioral model applied to skill development and determining the root of the managerial issues the client experiences. He believes this perspective is particularly useful when applied to organizational leadership and professional growth.

He encourages clients to express their thoughts about change and helps them develop plans to achieve their goals. He provides pragmatic, action-oriented observations to facilitate their commitment to developing target skills and achieving professional and personal growth. When difficult messages are necessary, Peter does not hesitate to provide feedback in a manner that is respectful. He pays close attention to what is effective in coaching conversations with each client, individualizing the process according to their needs. He welcomes feedback and is always seeking to help clients achieve the maximum benefit in the most effective manner possible.
