Rick is a co-founder of The Align Group, an organizational psychology firm whose sole focus is to maximize the effectiveness of business leaders and the teams they serve. Over the last 20 years, Rick has nurtured a passion for helping organizations achieve sustained competitive advantage by leveraging the talent of their most critical resource; people.
His interventions have included design and implementation of strategic talent management processes, bench-strength evaluation, team development, and individual and organizational change. Believing that people have unlimited potential for growth, Rick receives tremendous personal satisfaction from helping executives and managers achieve transformational change through personal coaching. He and his business partner have written a book entitled C.O.A.C.H The Final Act of Leading is Leaving.
Rick has coached in a variety of industries, including banking/finance, electronics, energy, manufacturing, and retail. His client work ranges from local, privately held entities to global Fortune 100 companies, such as Dell Computer Corp., BNSF Railroad, Texas Instruments, The Boeing Company, and H-E-B Grocery Company.
Earlier in his career, Rick worked as a clinical psychologist in the Air Force specializing in aviation psychology. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University, an M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary.
